A Bristol man convicted of child sex charges 10 years ago has been indicted on a registry violation after he failed to move out of a home he was sharing with a juvenile.
Daniel Steven Hardoby, 58, was arrested about a month after Bristol Tennessee Police Department Det. Aaron Blevins said he and Lt. Debbie McCauley told him on Sep. 11 that he needed to move out of a 1406 Holston Drive residence where he lived with an adult male and a juvenile, according to an affidavit filed in general sessions court on Oct. 31, 2007.
Hardoby had already been told he wasn't legally permitted to live there, Blevins said in the affidavit. He was initially told when he came in Aug. 20 to register the new address.
Prior to that registration update, Hardoby hadn't completed voluntary registration requirements since March 8, 2006. He should have been registering on a quarterly basis, according to the affidavit.
Hardoby was convicted of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, statutory rape and use of minors for obscene material on Feb. 26, 1998.
According to the Tennessee Sexual Offendry Registry Web site, authorities updated Hardoby's information on Nov. 11, 2007. The site lists his latest address as that of the Sullivan County jail.
