David Deaugustine - Librarian charged with Child Porn

A former employee of the Monroe County Public Library has been charged with possessing child pornography.

David Deaugustine, 66, of Fairport, is charged with possessing an obscene sexual performance of a child and possessing a sexual performance of a child -- both felonies -- after a three-and-a-half year investigation by the New York State Police.

A forensic analysis of his home computer revealed over 100,000 pornographic photos, with 5,000 child porn photos and 24 video clips of child porn.

The initial investigation by the State Police showed an unknown individual was uploading child pornographic images from the Monroe County Public Library to the internet.

Deaugustine worked for the Monroe County Public Library from 1995-2001 as a computer programmer.

He was processed and released on an appearance ticket to appear in the town of Perinton Court on January 22.
