A Santa Maria judge sentenced a 62-year-old registered sex offender to 75 years to life in state prison for molesting a child.
Gary Townsend Boyd heard his punishment this morning.
Last month the Santa Maria man pleaded guilty to molesting a girl under the age of six. Police say Boyd molested the child for a long period of time.
He also previously admitted to three prior convictions from 1984.
