J. Randall Ismay - Repeat Sex Offender - How many Victims?

Items seized by investigators contains evidence there may be more victims, authorities say.

LAGUNA NIGUEL Investigators believe a convicted sex offender, who was arrested earlier this week, may be responsible for sexually assaulting an unknown number of adult and underage males, authorities said.

J. Randall Ismay was arrested Tuesday at his home in Laguna Niguel on suspicion of sending child pornography through the Internet.
Ismay was convicted in 1974 for annoying or molesting children, and again in 1992 for lewd or lascivious acts with a child. He was arrested again Tuesday after authorities say he began a conversation with what he thought was an underage boy.
Authorities said that on November 2006, Ismay began a sexually explicit conversation online with someone he thought was a 14-year-old boy. In actuality, Ismay was chatting with an undercover officer from Keene, New Hampshire.

During those conversations, authorities said Ismay sent images to the officer. A search warrant was issued for Ismay's home on the 24000 block of Estancia in Laguna Niguel. Members of the FBI's SAFE Task Force and the Orange County Sheriff's Department seized computers and other devices from Ismay's home.
Evidence has led investigators to believe that several other males have been sexually assaulted by Ismay.
Anyone who has had contact with Ismay in the past, or anyone who knows of individuals who may have had contact with Ismay, is asked to contact the FBI's Orange County SAFE Task Force at 714-245-2576.
