James J. Stolt - Repeat Sex Offender


A registered sex offender from Rochester is expected to be arraigned on new charges tomorrow morning, according to State Police.

James J. Stolt, of 297 Bremen St., was arrested today and charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, promoting a sexual performance of a child, possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance of a child, all felonies, troopers said.

The initial report was made by Photobucket, a photo-sharing Web site, troopers said. At least seven images of child pornography had been placed on the site.

Troopers arrested Stolt after searching his home and discovering a large quantity of child pornography and child erotica, troopers said.

Stolt is a registered Level 2 sex offender, having been convicted for first-degree sexual abuse in 1994, against a 10 year old boy.

Stolt is scheduled to be arraigned at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow.
