A Houston man who authorities said admitted to downloading movies and pictures containing child pornography over the Internet pleaded guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography Friday.
Jeffery Brannon, 44, was arrested in August 2007 after Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents tracked his e-mail address to a Web site that distributes child pornography. During the investigation, agents discovered more than 600 images and videos containing child pornography on two computers belonging to Brannon. He also admitted file sharingand buying memberships to child pornography Web sites.
Brannon remains in federal custody, awaiting sentencing. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and a statutory maximum of 20 years imprisonment, without parole, for receiving child pornography.
