Thomas McGee - Repeat Sex Offender

Thomas McGee has already served 16 months in prison for, among other crimes, possessing obscene materials depicting children.

Now the New Port Richey man, who at 25 years old has some 20 arrests to his name, is again accused of possessing child pornography.

On Dec. 9, Clearwater police received a tip that McGee was involved in drug activity. They cited him for failing to appear on a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.

Then an anonymous call alerted police that there was more child pornography.

"It was photographs that he took," Clearwater police spokeswoman Elizabeth Daly-Watts said.

She did not release any other details.

For a while investigators couldn't find McGee. But they finally caught up to him at the Pasco County jail, where he was booked in late December on charges of habitually driving with a suspended license, marijuana possession and failing to register as a sex offender.

McGee, of 10945 Kenmore Drive, remained there Tuesday evening. His bail was set at $60,150.
