WANTED: Daniel D. Anderson - Repeat Sex Offender


The Wisconsin Dells and Lake Delton Police are investigating two possible cases of attempted child abduction, which occurred Jan. 12 and 13 in the two municipalities.

Police have identified Daniel D. Anderson, 58, Beloit, as a suspect in the cases and know he stayed at a Lake Delton resort this past weekend.

According to the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry, Anderson was convicted in Rock County of first-degree sexual assault of a child in 1990.

The police are looking for information regarding his whereabouts or if anyone has had contact with him, to issue a warrant for his arrest.

Anderson is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 260 pounds with gray hair. According to police he drives a maroon 1999 Chevrolet Venture van, with the license plate 317-MMC.

Police are asking anyone who had contact with Anderson in the Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton area to call Dells Detective Jed Seidl at 253-1611 or Lake Delton Detective Kurt Goodreau at 354-7571.

The detectives also ask area businesses, motels and restaurants, to check their records for Anderson's information.

Lake Delton? A release just came home within the last two weeks to public schools in Janesville about this man. From what I was told by friends is that he was/is staying at the Lannon Stone. Just tell all your kids, grandkids, and friends kids to keep an eye out.
