Angelo Collado - Repeat Sex Offender - Hiding in the bushes........

Collado was classified as a sexual predator after his 1994 conviction for attempting to rape a boy. Collado served 13 years in prison before his release last year. Records show he is still under the supervision of the Adult Parole Authority.

A 33-year-old sexual predator living in Lorain, accused of videotaping a woman and her 10-year-old daughter at Lakeview Park beach ,was arraigned Monday. Angelo Colladois charged with two counts of voyeurism and obstructing official business. He initially pleaded no contest, but changed the plea to not guilty after a public defender was assigned to his case. Lorain Police were called to the beach Saturday when someone complained that a man was videotaping children at the beach. Collado was arrested after officers found him hiding in overgrown weeds with a video camera. Collado denied the camera was his and said he found it.

When police turned the camera on they found four videos, according to the report.

The first was of a woman on the beach that zoomed in on her rear end.

The second was of a young girl and that also zoomed in on her rear.

The third video was footage of a bathroom stall at the beach. Although no people appeared in this video, officers identified the coat of the man holding the camera as Collado's.

The fourth video showed Collado getting into his tub at home. He waved at the camera and then masturbated.

The woman in the first film was upset when police informed her of the footage. Two witnesses told police that they saw Collado taping the woman.

Collado was classified as a sexual predator after his 1994 conviction for attempting to rape a boy. Collado served 13 years in prison before his release last year. Records show he is still under the supervision of the Adult Parole Authority.

His bond was set at $7,500.

If convicted of all charges he faces a maximum of 90 days in jail or $750 fine for the obstruction charge and up to 60 days or $500 for each of the voyeurism charges. His pre-trial date is scheduled for Thursday.

The new charges are misdemeanors, but he could be sent back to prison for violating the conditions of parole.
