David Hall Lee - Repeat Sex Offender - Rapist

A Waynesville man who was already on the county’s registered sex offender list faces more rape charges based on an early Sunday morning incident.

According to Sheriff J.B. King, Waynesville police notified deputies about 4 a.m. Sunday that a 21-year-old woman had contacted them and said she had been forcibly raped at gunpoint in a location in rural Pulaski County. Sheriff’s logs show the incident occurred near a rural church southwest of Waynesville on Highway H. Sheriff’s detectives were promptly notified and began an investigation that took most of the day, ending only after a search warrant was executed about 7 p.m.

“Items of interest in the case were recovered, including a firearm,” King wrote in a prepared statement.

The suspect, David Hall Lee, 59, of Waynesville, has been charged by forcible rape, armed criminal action, forcible sodomy and felonious restraint, and is being held in the county jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash-only bond. King said the identity of the victim will not be released due to the circumstances of the crime.
