A 43-year-old registered sex offender is in custody and accused of molesting the 3-year-old daughter of a friend.
Troy Meixner was visiting the family who lives in Davie on Southwest 82nd Avenue.
The girl's mother went out to the store and left the 3-year-old with Meixner and her father. When the father fell asleep that's when the alleged molestation occurred. The 3-year-old's mother came home and allegedly found Meixner in bed with the girl.
Meixner is a registered sex offender. He was convicted in 1995 of one count of lewd and lascivious behavior with a child under 16.
