Michael Hamblin - Repeat Sex Offender - More charges to come

A repeat sex offender whose history of exposing himself to children led to tougher Ohio penalties has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison.

Michael Hamblin pleaded guilty last month to charges he tried to lure four 6- and 7-year-old girls into the woods at a suburban Cincinnati park in June. On Monday, a Warren County judge sentenced 38-year-old Hamblin to 3 1/2 years in prison on the child enticement counts and tacked on another 2 years and 74 days for a parole violation.

Hamblin still has another public indecency charge pending in a separate case.

His conviction for exposing himself in a department store in 2005 led to a state law that makes a third indecency offense a felony. It also toughened bail rules in such cases.
