Larry Dean Dick - Repeat Sex Offender - "Yes I did it but I didn't"

A convicted sex offender has been jailed on 13 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after a Yavapai County probation officer found child pornography on the suspect's laptop computer.

The charges were filed Wednesday against Larry Dean Dick, who was arrested for a probation violation July 28 at his Cordes Lake home.

Police said Dick had been convicted in 1984 for child molestation in Maricopa County and in June 2009 on three counts of failure to register as a sex offender in Yavapai County.

During a July 28 visit to Dick's home, sheriff's officials said a probation officer examined Dick's laptop and discovered apparent child pornography images, many of them stamped July 27.

Dick was booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center for probation violation.

Dick admitted during questioning that he had visited teen sex Internet sites, investigators said. Although he denied any intent to access child pornography, a detective who reviewed the Internet site evidence identified at least 13 images portraying child pornography and the new charges were filed.

Dick remained in custody without bond Thursday.
