Crystal Anne Rodriguez - Repeat Sex Offender - Charged along with husband Jose Luis

The Harnett County Sheriff's Office has arrested the husband of a convicted sex offender charged last week with statutory rape.

Jose Luis Rodriguez, 27, of Lone Star Court, Cameron, was charged with one count each of statutory rape, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and conspiracy, all felonies.

His wife, Crystal Anne Rodriguez, 28, of the same address, faces two charges of statutory rape and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor in connection with the same alleged crime.

Mrs. Rodriguez is a convicted sex offender who pleaded guilty in early 2008 to having sex with a 14-year-old boy and fondling his 13-year-old brother in 2006.

Harnett County investigators say the latest charges came after they discovered the couple had sex with a 15-year-old boy. The arrest report said family members brought the allegations to the attention of investigators.
"He'd (the juvenile) been living in the home for quite a while, originally came from California and his mother allowed him to stay with the (Rodriguez) family," Harnett County Sheriff Larry Rollins said. "The bottom line is they were having threesomes." Sheriff Rollins said his officeis also investigating allegations of underage drinking and marijuana use at the Rodriguez home involving other minors.
Mrs. Rodriguez pleaded guilty in January 2008 to two counts of sexual battery in connection with her first arrest, in which she also reportedly gave the teens alcohol. The crimes were discovered when the boys parents discovered inappropriate computer messages.

She was sentenced to serve two years probation, ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, have no contact with anyone under the age of 16 other than her own two children and ordered to register as a sex offender.

Sheriff Rollins said there was no indication the young Rodriguez children had ever been molested. He said probation and parole has revoked Mrs. Rodriguez's probation.

Mr. Rodriguez, who was in the military at the time of his wife's first arrest, according to news reports from the time, has never been indicated as having any involvement in his wife's earlier episode.

Mr. Rodriguez is held under $50,000 bond, Mrs. Rodriguez under $100,000 bond.

Sheriff Rollins asked anyone with information concerning underage drinking, marijuana use or other illegal activities at the Rodriguez home to call the sheriff's office at 893-9111.
