Police have arrested a registered sex offender for allegedly abusing a girl for several years.
Daniel Edwards, 40, of Brooklyn, has been charged with risk of injury to a minor and first degree sexual assault.
Police say the victim was sexually assaulted repeatedly between 2001 and 2004 when she was between the ages of six and 9 years old.
Edwards was convicted in 2008 for risk of injury to a minor and was released from prison in 2009, according to the CT Sex Offender Registry.
