O.B. Lake - Repeat Sex Offender - After 18 years

According to the affidavit, the 7-year-old and her mother were at Lake's home when Lake accompanied the girl into the house to get a drink. She later told investigators Lake put his hands under her dress while she stood by the refrigerator.

A registered sex offender was indicted Tuesday on charges of aggravated sexual battery, Jackson police Lt. Tyreece Miller said.

O.B. Lake, 62, of Jackson, was arrested in August on charges that he inappropriately touched a 7-year-old girl, Miller said. He is in jail on $100,000 bond.

According to the affidavit, the 7-year-old and her mother were at Lake's home when Lake accompanied the girl into the house to get a drink. She later told investigators Lake put his hands under her dress while she stood by the refrigerator.

Lake was classified as a violent sex offender after a sexual battery charge in August 1992, according to the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry website. His prison sentence ended in June 2009, according to the Tennessee Department of Correction website, but he was likely released from prison before then.
