David Todd was arrested in August after Maryland Natural Resources Police saw him walking naked on the McKeldin Rapids Trail. He was charged with indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.
A Carroll County District Court judge sentenced Todd to three years in prison because of a prior conviction.
Todd became a registered sex offender for a 1980 first-degree sexual assault, also in Patapsco Valley State Park, authorities said.
Friday's conviction violated his probation. Court documents show Todd is also facing rape charges from a separate arrest in Baltimore County.
