Sex offender arrested for living inside of daycare center



A convicted sex offender was caught living inside of an unlicensed in-home daycare center.

Police arrested Victor Hollis, 47, of Portwood Drive in Albertville yesterday.

He's charged with two class C felonies including, verification of address and prohibited residence locations.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Hollis was living at the house where the in-home daycare was being operated.

A registered sex offender is not allowed to live within 2000 feet of any school or child care facility.

Hollis was transported to the Albertville City Jail where he remains at this time.
No bond amount has been set.

Meanwhile, the Department of Human Resources (DHR) was notified of the in-home day care situation.
