Gary Rodney Gillespie, 47, previously residing in the 600 block of South Clubhouse Rd. in Virginia Beach, was sentenced Thursday by a circuit court judge on two counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery and two counts of Indecent Liberties.
The judge went above the sentencing guidelines and ordered Gillespie to serve a total of 30 years in the Virginia Department of Corrections. The judge ordered that 20 years of his sentence to be suspended conditioned on good behavior with intensive supervised probation. He must register as a sex offender and complete sex offender treatment. He was also ordered to pay all court costs.
Evidence proved that between August 20,2005 and August 20, 2006, Gillespie molested a juvenile on at least four seperate occasions.
