A house painter was arrested Sunday after he allegedly used his cell phone to take photos of an 8-year-old girl as she showered.

Michael Lloyd Baker, 46, of Hugo, who is a registered sex offender, was jailed on felony complaints of making lewd acts or proposals to a minor child and knowingly concealing stolen property.

Police said Baker was painting the victim's father's house in Broken Arrow when officers were summoned to the house at 1:45 p.m. by the father.

A police report indicated that the girl told her father that she saw a shadow in the bathroom while she was in the shower.

She looked around the shower curtain and she observed the painter on his hands and knees on the bathroom floor, the report stated.

Police allegedly found photos of the victim on Baker's cell phone. Officers also recovered a stolen Clarion Hotel key card from Baker's van.

Baker, who recently was released from prison on a burglary conviction, has three previous felony convictions for indecent exposure, police reports show.

He was taken to the Tulsa Jail, where bail was set at $53,000.
