John Stelmack Principle charged 12 more counts Child Pornography

A suspended elementary school principal was arrested again on additional child pornography charges.

Detectives arrested John Stelmack, principal of Scott Lake Elementary School, around 2:30 p.m. today at his home and charged him with 12 counts of child pornography, said Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Carrie Rodgers.

Stelmack, 60, was suspended from his job by the Polk County School Board on Dec. 14 for an administrative investigation. During that investigation, five images of child pornography he created were discovered. He was arrested Dec. 21 on five counts of possession of child pornography and posted bail and was released Dec. 22.

The five photographs showed nude, adult women posed like children, with children's faces superimposed on the bodies, according to a Sheriff's Office report. Investigators identified one girl's face which was placed on four of the pictures as a 10-year-old former student.

Today's arrest resulted from computer forensics, Rodgers said.

Stelmack will be booked into the Polk County Jail later today, she said.
