A registered sex offender is scheduled for an initial court appearance Monday on child enticement charges.
Michael Ryan South of Alabama was arrested Dec. 15 at Lum Cumbest Park in northeast Jackson County and charged with misdemeanor indecent exposure, and felony enticement of a child in connection with a Nov. 4 encounter with a 9-year-old boy.
The boy told police that South was naked and touching himself and tried to persuade him to go streaking.
South is being held at the Jackson County jail on a $25,000 bond.
South was originally convicted in 1990
