Johnny Eudaly - Internet Predator

Ottawa County deputies nabbed a man late Sunday night in a Miami parking lot after he allegedly arranged online to meet a presumed underage girl there for sexual purposes.

The Sheriff’s Department said Johnny Eudaly, 35, of Miami, was arrested in the latest Internet sting conducted by the department and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation in an effort to catch online child predators.

Eudaly is charged with three counts of making lewd or indecent proposals to a minor, and three counts of violating the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

The Sheriff’s Department said a deputy posing as an underage girl had several conversations with Eudaly on the Internet during which Eudaly allegedly made lewd or indecent proposals. Eudaly then allegedly arranged to meet the girl in a Miami parking lot and take her elsewhere for sex.

Undersheriff Bob Ernst said Eudaly showed up at the location in his vehicle.

“When we pulled up in our vehicles, he tried to drive off,” Ernst said.

Eudaly was stopped and arrested, he said.

OSBI agent Tyson Barnes stated in a probable-cause affidavit that Eudaly initially told him and Ernst, while under arrest in a patrol car, that he knew what he did was wrong, but that he could not help himself. Eudaly reportedly told them he was addicted to sex and to the Internet.

“In a subsequent interview, he admitted his wrongdoings and was taken back to jail,” Ernst said.

Barnes’ affidavit states that Eudaly admitted to having kissed and groped a 16-year-old girl while working at a restaurant in Coffeyville, Kan., and to having touched at least 10 other underage girls without getting caught.

The Sheriff’s Department seized a computer at Eudaly’s home. Ernst said investigators will be examining it for evidence of child pornography or any other attempts to entice children into sex acts.

Eudaly had been working at a McDonald’s restaurant in Miami until recently and was supposed to begin working for a Miami casino on Monday, Ernst said.

The Sheriff’s Department has been working with the nationwide Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force under the supervision of the OSBI.
