A Lake Havasu City man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for molesting two preteen children last year.
Jeffrey M. Huff, 22, had pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual contact with a minor for molesting a 12-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl.
Huff was sentenced in Mohave County Superior Court in Kingman on Friday.
"Mr. Huff is deeply remorseful," his attorney, Mike Hruby, told Judge Steven Conn at the hearing.
Prosecutor Greg McPhillips had pushed for a 20-year sentence, the maximum allowed under a plea agreement, but said he was satisfied with the outcome.
John Rohrs, the grandfather of one victim, thought the sentence should have been more harsh.
"A pedophile is a pedophile," Rohrs said. "Personally, I think he should get more. The children have to live with this the rest of their lives."
Huff will have no possibility of early parole and will be on probation for life.
