Pedophile sentenced to 15 years

A CAIRNS pedophile has been jailed for 15 years for the raping of his step-daughter and sharing the video on the internet.

The 30-year-old Mt Sheridan father, who was sentenced yesterday to 15 years' jail after pleading guilty in Cairns District Court on Thursday to 88 child pornography and sex offences, has told the court he could never ask for his family's forgiveness.

The offences included three federal offences and 85 state charges including more than 70 for producing and trading child pornography, two of rape, four of incest and 11 of indecent treatment.
