A Vacaville man who recently pleaded no contest to child molestation charges was sentenced Monday to eight years in prison.
Defendant Jose Vincent Salazar, who last month pleaded no contest two counts of forcibly engaging in lewd or lascivious conduct with a child under 14 years of age, was sentenced to eight years in state prison by Presiding Solano County Superior Court Judge Ramona Garrett.
In addition, Garrett fined Salazar $3,200 and ordered him to submit to AIDS testing and provide a DNA sample. Upon parole, Garrett further ordered that Salazar will have to wear a Global Positioning System device.
Salazar, 28, was credited with 344 days already served in county jail custody.
