A convicted sex offender has been arrested on suspicion of raping two Reno women after breaking into their homes.
44-year-old Curtis Lange of Sun Valley was on parole for the 1982 rape and attempted murder of a Minden teen when he was booked Friday into the Washoe County Jail on no bail.
Lange is accused of holding a 54-year-old woman captive for more than four hours on May 3 while sexually assaulting her multiple times.
Police also allege he held a 56-year-old woman captive for hours in November 2006 while she was sexually assaulted multiple times at gunpoint.
Lange was paroled in 2002 after serving 20 years for raping a 17-year-old fellow Douglas High School student in 1982 and stabbing her in the head.
Lange is a Tier 2 registered sex offender in Washoe County, assessed as posing a "moderate" risk to re-offend.
