A convicted sex offender who repeatedly raped a woman at knifepoint during a 13-hour siege is due to be sentenced.
Sean McKay, 40, attacked his 27-year-old victim at his flat in the Edinburgh suburb of Abbeyhill in January. Armed police were called to the scene and cordoned off the area overnight.
It emerged that McKay was a registered sex offender who was previously sentenced to jail terms of five and eight years for sexual offences.
