Martin Hernandez - Pedophile Scumbag picks up 9 year old boy at the store

A man accused of meeting a 9-year-old boy in an Orange County store, buying him items for his kitten and giving him a ride before molesting him, was arrested Tuesday night.

Martin Hernandez, 49, was arrested on charges of lewd molestation and kidnapping.

Orange County sheriff's detectives said Hernandez was arrested after reviewing surveillance-camera images at a car wash where he took the boy.

According to Orange County sheriff's deputies, Hernandez approached the boy inside the Family Dollar Store, located at 2712 N. Pine Hills Road in Orlando, and purchased items for the boy.

The boy accepted a ride from Hernandez, who molested the boy before letting him out of the vehicle near the boy's home, deputies said.

"Did you touch that little boy at the Family Dollar Store?" Local 6 News reporter Jessica D'Onofrio asked Hernandez as he was being walked into the Orange County Sheriff's Office by detectives.

"No, ma'am," Hernandez said. "I helped him buy (items) because he didn't have enough money to buy cat litter, and he wanted to buy a little toy for the cat."
He later admitted to detectives that he molested the boy, according to the sheriff's office.

"He told us he did fondle the child in the car," Orange County sheriff's Sgt. Rich Mankewich said. "And he had reasons for that ... something that happened in his childhood."

"I'm sorry that that happened to him as a child, but that is not an excuse," the victim's mother said. "He should know how it made him feel."

"I feel good because I would not want that to happen to any other kid," the victim said about the arrest of Hernandez.
Hernandez was booked into the Orange County Jail on no bond.
