James Andrew Muller - Sex Offender proves he can't follow the rules

A 44-year-old registered sex offender from Otsego County was arrested last week for allegedly failing to notify authorities about his MySpace account.

James Andrew Muller of Fly Creek was charged with a felony and issued an appearance ticket returnable Dec. 29 in Middlefield Town Court.

The Otsego County Probation Department developed information about the account last month and notified deputies. Muller is a Level 1 sex offender.

That classification of sex offenders is deemed the least likely to re-offend.

Sheriff's department Investigator Michael Ten Eyck and probation officers Timothy DeForest and Christopher Farrell conducted the investigation.

Muller faces up to four years in prison if convicted, deputies said in a media release.
