Marcos Joel Castro, 29, of Monrovia, a registered sex offender, pleaded guilty to charges that he molested two male teenagers in the Hemet area over the past four years.
He was immediately sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Mr. Castro pleaded guilty to sodomy and lewd and lascivious behavior with a child under 14 in connection with one boy, and three counts of lewd and lascivious behavior with a child 14 or 15 years old in connection with the other child.
He escaped facing 36 other charges of molestation by making his guilty plea.
He had been arrested at work in a real estate office in West Hollywood on April 25, 2008.
A sheriff's detective at the Hemet substation said that Mr. Castro had not updated his sex offender file with his current work information, making his apprehension a matter of some investigation.
Some of the youths Mr. Castro molested were family members, and the other youths he had made friends with.
According to a sheriff's detective, he was related to at least one of the boys.
