The Cherryville Police Department arrested 47-year-old Paul Hicks on Thursday and charged him with indecent liberties.
Police say an officer’s daughter reported she was at Wal-Mart earlier this week when Hicks approached her and manipulated himself in front of her. He then followed her around the store.
Police used surveillance video and receipt information to identify the suspect. He was later arrested at his home on Ross Road.
Hicks is a registered sex offender.
