David Sherrer Jr - Repeat Sex Offender - Victim less than 10

The man at the center of a high profile 2002 sexual battery case has been arrested in connection with another sex crime.

David Sherrer Jr., 30, is accused of improperly touching a juvenile under 10 years old.

Officers took Sherrer into custody Monday morning. He is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of gross sexual imposition.
Sherrer, who is the son of former Dayton police Lt. David Sherrer Sr., was convicted in 2002 of sexual battery. Prosecutors said he was a guard at the Dayton Human Rehabilitation Center where he had sexual contact with at least three female prisoners.
A judge sentenced him to five years of community control and was ordered to attend counseling.
