Christopher D. Johnson - Repeat Sex Offender - 7 years for child porn

A Salem sex offender was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court to more than seven years in prison after he pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography.

District Judge Garr King sentenced Christopher D. Johnson, 44, to 87 months in prison and a 10-year term of post-prison supervision. He is not currently in custody but will begin serving the term July 2.

Johnson allegedly paid for subscription access to child porn on the Internet. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents served a search warrant at Johnson's apartment in November 2007.

On his personal computer they found images and videos of child porn.

At the time, he was on probation for a 2004 child porn conviction in California and was registered as a sex offender with Oregon State Police.
