A Level 3 sex offender has been ordered held in Stearns County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail after being charged with making terroristic threats and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Jerome Lamont Webb, 28, was arrested Tuesday after a woman accused him of threatening her. Webb also is charged with second-degree assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm after he was accused of pointing a handgun at another man during an argument in November in St. Cloud.
Stearns County District Court Judge Frederick Grunke increased Webb’s bail from $150,000, which Webb posted in late January to gain his release from jail, to $500,000 at a hearing Thursday.
Webb has been convicted of multiple sex offenses and designated a Level 3 offender after his release from prison last summer.
