An Effingham woman has been arrested after deputies said she placed her child in contact with her boyfriend, who is a registered sex offender, Florence County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Michael Nunn said.
Pamela Strickland Key, 40, of 2208 Alligator Road, is charged with unlawful conduct toward a child, Florence County Detention Center booking reports show.
The suspect is accused of allowing her minor child to be in direct contact with her boyfriend on at least one occasion, Nunn said.
The boyfriend is prohibited from being in the child’s presence, Nunn said.
Key was arrested at 1 p.m. Friday. Nunn said a $5,000 surety bond has been set for her release.
