A man who pled guilty to sexually assaulting an elderly woman at a Wichita retirement home will spend almost 12 years in prison.Judge Gregory Waller handed down the sentence to Raul Monroy, Jr. Wednesday morning.
Investigators say Monroy was already a registered sex offender when he broke into the Cornerstone Retirement Home and fondled an 85-year-old woman back in September. Before that, police say he asked an 85-year-old man for sex.
In March Monroy plead guilty to aggravated burglary, aggravated sexual battery and attempted aggravated criminal sodomy.
