Thomas Baudier - Repeat Sex Offender - Busted for Child Porn

A Northport man was arrested on charges of possessing child pornography Monday night after Suffolk computer crimes detectives determined that he had downloaded the porn on the Internet, police said.

Thomas Baudier, 24, of 26 Valley Rd., was charged with two counts of possessing a sexual performance of a child, a felony; and one count each of obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.

Police searched his home and took four computers along with CDs and DVDs in the 8:37 p.m. Monday arrest.

The suspect is employed at "an Italian pasta shop in Shirley," Suffolk police said.
Baudier was acquitted in October 2007 by District Court Judge Salvatore Alamia, after a 10-day trial on charges that he had sexual contact with two girls, 14 and 16. He was found not guilty of sexual abuse, attempted sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. The girls, their friends, a school social worker and a police detective testified at the trial.

Before his acquittal, Baudier was a permanent substitute teacher at Northport High School in 2007.
Baudier is scheduled for arraignment on the child pornography charges Tuesday at First District Court, Central Islip.
