Austria: 43 suspects ID’d in child porn probe - Including 5 Repeat Sex Offenders

Austrian authorities say they have identified 43 people suspected of possessing, passing on, or looking at child pornography online.
The Federal Criminal Investigations Bureau says the suspects — all Austrians — include two lawyers, a physicist, three "technicians" and two unemployed people. Five are repeat offenders.
The bureau said in a statement Wednesday that, over the course of roughly 18 months, it carried out 39 house searches and traced and identified 471 IP addresses.

Spokesman Alexander Marakovits said Brazilian authorities alerted Austria via Interpol about the possibility that Austrian-based Internet users were accessing child porn on a Brazilian Web page.
