Dale Wright - Loitering and trying hard to be a Repeat Sex Offender

A registered sex offender is now in custody after an alert citizen spotted the man loitering in a creek.

In a letter to parents, San Ramon Elementary School Principal Mary Pritchard says 50-year old Dale Wright was seen acting suspiciously in at Arroyo Avichi Park on Taft Court in Novato. Police talked to the man, found out he was a registered sex offender, and took him into custody.
"All parents and community should be on the lookout and report any unusual loitering or suspicious characters to the NPD immediately," Pritchard wrote in the letter to parents. "We believe none of our students has been approached, however, in 2007 this same individual was reported to NPD by Hill administration for trying to enter the campus with false pretenses."
The Megan's Law web site says Wright was convicted of Lewd and Lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14. Pritchard says Novato police will step up surveillance in the area around the community's schools in the light of the latest incident.
