The man lives on Clara Road, just yards away from Smith Elementary School.
He's a convicted sex offender who failed to register.
Police raided his home on Thursday night and found a large amount of child pornography.
Police identified the suspect as 56-year-old Daniel Sanchez. He's now in jail and has been charged with promoting and possessing child porn.
The Harris County District Attorney says Sanchez was previously convicted of sexually assaulting a child.
