Grady Jefferson Jr - Repeat Sex Offender - Arrested for molesting 3 year old

Jefferson has a 1998 conviction for attempted taking of indecent liberties with a minor and an assault conviction.

Victims ages were 8 and 10.

A registered sex offender is behind bars after being arrested for allegedly victimizing a 3-year-old girl.

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office has charged 41-year old Grady Jefferson Jr. with taking indecent liberties with a minor. According to Detective Roy Rooks, the child allegedly made a comment to her parent, prompting them to file a report, which he investigated.

Rook said Deputies J. Sealey and T. Clark located Jefferson at a residence on Ward Drive in Roanoke Rapids in the early morning hours of Sept. 15. He was hiding in a closet.

Jefferson was taken into custody and transported to the Halifax County Jail. His bond was set at $100,000.
