A Warrensburg man who is a registered sex offender was arrested late Friday on two misdemeanor charges after he allegedly masturbated in front of a child, according to police records.
Timothy A. Randall, 60, was charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child after an incident that was reported to police last week, according to the State Police public information website.
He was accused of exposing himself to a girl who was 13 or 14 over the summer. The arrest happened at his King Street home after the state child abuse hotline received a report about the incident, police said.
Randall is a Level 2 sex offender because of a 1994 conviction for sodomy in connection with sexual abuse of a 16-year-old girl, according to the state Division of Criminal Justice website.
Randall was released on his own recognizance pending prosecution in Warrensburg Town Court. The arrest was made by State Police Investigator Phil Mann.
