“It should be noted if a person knowingly hides, conceals or assists in any way to help the wanted person in avoiding arrest, that person could face criminal charges as well,” said detective Jeffrey Green with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. “If you know of the location of Howard Gutendorf please contact your local law enforcement agency.”
Detectives are searching for a wanted registered sex offender also accused of molesting a young girl in Wilsonville.
Howard Gail Gutendorf, 47, faces charges of sexual abuse in the first degree and attempted sexual abuse in the first degree for allegedly abusing the young daughter of a friend. His trial was supposed to start soon in Clark County.
He is described as a white male, about 6' tall, weighing 205 lbs, with grey hair and brown eyes. Gutendorf was convicted back in 1992 for other sex crimes in Jackson County.
His last known address is 10285 SW Crestwood Ct, Beaverton, Oregon. Clackamas County detectives and the Beaverton Police have been to the residence but were denied access to the house to look for Gutendorf.
