New Zealand - Police call for help on alleged sex offender

A man allegedly involved in a serious sexual assault on New Year's Eve is reported to be evading police.

Detective constable Brian Williamson has appealed to the public for information on sightings of Raymond Lance Moa, 36, of Hamilton.

"We are very keen to hear from anyone who may know of Mr Moa's whereabouts in light of the seriousness of the alleged offence," he said.

Anyone with any information on Moa's current location or where he may have been since leaving Hamilton on December 31 should contact Hamilton Police on 07 858 6200.
