DOVER, Del. - Delaware State Police charged two men with failure to re-register as sex offenders on Tuesday.
Bruce I. Butler, 46, of Dover was charged after being extradited from Maryland. Detectives issued an arrest warrant for Butler in November, and he was caught last month in Prince George's County, Md.
Butler was also wanted on court capiases from Kent County Superior Court, Kent County Family Court, Kent County Court of Common Pleas, and Justice of the Peace Court 7.
He is being held at the Delaware Correctional Center on $2,372 cash bail.
Detectives also arrested 29-year-old Timothy A. Carr of Wilmington. Carr, a moderate-risk offender, was apprehended by Troopers as he fled a home in Elsmere.
A warrant was issued for Carr last week, when it was determined that he had failed to notify the sex offender registry as to his whereabouts. Carr is a registered sex offender due to a 1998 conviction for unlawful third-degree sexual intercourse 3rd Degree.
Carr was later released on $2,000.00 unsecured bond.
