Sean M. Quick, 26, of 1133 Ashland Road was arrested Friday night on suspicion of possession of child pornography, first-degree promoting child pornography and second-degree promoting child pornography.

In September, the Mid-Missouri Internet Crimes Task Force received a list of Missouri IP addresses in reference to ongoing peer-to-peer file-sharing investigations. Records showed that between Aug. 2 and Aug. 10 the suspect was offering several child porn video files through a Gnutella file-sharing program.

Investigators obtained the suspect’s computer on Dec. 3 and examined it, according to court documents. The suspect admitted to authorities that he had downloaded child porn videos in August and had deleted the images.

Two videos depicting children under the age of 14 engaging in sexual conduct and two other porn videos with minor children were found in a shared file. Numerous other porn images and videos with children under the age of 14 were found on other areas of the computer.

Quick was being held Monday morning at the Boone County Jail on $30,000 bond.
