Thomas Kaiser - Faces life for sex offenses against children

A Harford County man has been arrested for allegedly producing child pornography and sexually abusing minors. Authorities caught the man after one of his alleged victims came forward.

Thomas Kaiser was indicted last week in two separate cases involving child pornography and child sex abuse. Harford County State’s Attorney Joe Cassilly says, "He could face up to a life sentence given all the different charges against him."

Authorities were led to Kaiser after one of his alleged victims accused him of sexual abuse that dated back to 1981. Cassilly says, "She was an adult survivor. Often we have people who experienced child abuse and it isn't until later that they find they're able ton confront the issue and come forward and make a complaint."

That information led investigators to uncover child pornography in Kaiser's home. Cassilly says, "He had actually filmed the acts that comprise the charge of child pornography." Kaiser is also charged with sexually abusing 2 minors, and conspiring to produce child porn with another man in Pennsylvania.

Kaiser is being held at the Harford County Detention Center on $2,000,000 bond.
