Bismarck police are looking for a sex offender who has been missing for about a week.
Roger McAvoy is a high-risk sex offender who had been living at 521 West Indiana Avenue.
Police checked his address on December 12, but when they went back for a random check on the 24, he was gone. They say he might be in the Fort Yates area.
McAvoy, 47, is five-feet-seven inches tall, and weighs 148 pounds.
He was convicted in 1995 of sexually assaulting two young teenagers. He was also convicted in 1989 of gross sexual imposition after beginning a relationship with a 12-year-old.
