A Muskegon County judge has sentenced an ex-Cub Scout leader to at least three years, two months in prison for possessing and distributing child pornography.
Circuit Judge William Marietti sentenced Harvey Zeek to up to seven years' imprisonment. The 37-year-old pleaded no contest in December. That isn't an admission of guilt but is treated as one for sentencing purposes.
The Muskegon Chronicle says Marietti gave Zeek the maximum sentence because he faces new child sex charges. No charges involve Zeek's activities with Boy Scouts of America. He led Montague Cub Scout Pack 4043.
